March 27th, 2023"The 'tropical Trump,' as he is affectionately called, has done a great job for the wonderful people of Brazil," former U.S. President Donald Trump said in a message through his own social network Truth Social, in support of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro ahead of Brazil's election on Oct. 2.
Trump recalled that during his time in the White House, the far-right leader held constant conversations with him in search of tax and customs cuts, as well as trade negotiations and strengthening anti-drug and border policies "to put 'the bad guys' in jail."
"President Bolsonaro loves Brazil above all else. He is a fantastic man and has my full and complete support," Trump concluded in the message.
