It seems Richard Negrin is most likely to become the Democratic Party's only candidate for the district attorney's election - and other judicial charges - to be held in Philadelphia later this year.

At least that is what is what we can understand from a Daily News article in which it ensures that the democratic leaders of the electoral constituencies (ward leaders) of the city can not agree on the name that represents the best option of the party to maintain control of the judicial body - despite the controversial case of outgoing Prosecutor Seth Williams.

According to a source quoted by journalist Chris Brennan, Negrin has the highest support among party members, but that support barely reaches "one-third of the constituency leaders." The candidate who follows him in probabilities is until recently prosecutor Williams’ right hand, Tariq El-Shabazz, who would have a quarter of the ward leaders in his favor. The remaining 40 percent is distributed among five other pre-candidates.

For Brennan, both Negrin and El-Shabazz will have to overcome negative charges on their names: the first, for working with ex-mayor Nutter "not very popular among the leaders”, and the second one, for having worked with Williams and for having pending issues on taxes.

Despite the fact that Negrín now has a greater proportion of support, everything indicates that the decision of the party will occur in the primaries in May.
