The presentation of Antonio Ledezma's book La Tumba: Kidnapping in Venezuela, took place at the headquarters of the Interamerican Institute for Democracy, chaired by former Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado and coordinated by former Bolivian Minister Carlos Sanchez Berzain.

The event was presented by Bernardo Jurado, writer and retired Venezuelan military officer, and comments were made by Asdrúbal Aguilar, Executive Director of IDEA, Tamara Sujú, director of the Casla Institute, and Ambassador María Teresa Romero. The entire event was moderated by former Venezuelan minister Betarice Rangel Mantilla.

Ledezma, who is currently in exile, said that "his work is a tribute to the victims of torture and political persecution that the Chavodamur regime has been carrying out for more than 22 years in a country that will have in this book the memory of the pain suffered in order to never forget those facts for which we expect the indispensable justice."

He also made "a call to all the sectors that are now dispersed inside and outside the country to make an effort to consolidate an authentic unitary axis to be able to free Venezuela from the clutches of the tyranny that today has kidnapped its institutions."

The personalities present supported Ledezma's initiative to organize the millions of Venezuelans who are in the diaspora to join those resisting inside the country "those who inside the country know "how to fight" and who require our encouragement," said Ledezma.

Finally, he suggested that "all leaders inside and outside the country devote themselves to strengthen the investigation underway at the International Criminal Court and keep alive the flame of the struggle for the freedom of their country."
