The history of Flag Day at the Betsy Ross House is a very special event not only for the tourists that visit the home where the first American Flag was created, but for thirteen individuals, this is the day that all of their long hard work and preparation have come to one small but very meaningful action.

With these individuals raised their right hand, they swore their allegiance to protect and defend the United States of America as citizens of this country. Many have come from countries a half a world away to live out their dreams as Americans. AL DIA News was honored to be invited to this special ceremony and wish congratulations to America's newest citizens!
