The Grand Opening of the Museum of the American Revolution opened today with a overwhelming "Huzzah!" by all those who attended the event.  As part of the ceremony, several speakers gave their thanks and appreciation to the people who made the museum a reality.  This grand opening also was the 242nd anniversary of the "shot heard 'round the world.' "

Speakers such as Mayor Jim Kenney, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, and former Vice-President Joe Biden all spoke the praise of the newest edition to the historical district of Philadelphia. The museum is hoping to inspire and engage audiences for many generations to come with its collection of revolutionary weapons, works of art as well and many other artifacts.
