The Police Athletic league of Philadelphia (PAL) honored four individuals whose leadership and service has been an impact to inner city youth during the 70th Anniversary Award Gala  Wednesday evening. Through hard work and dedication of "Cops helping Kids", PAL secured resources that ensure thousands of children in the city will have programsin their local neighborhood PAL centers that are fun, safe and are of no cost.

Prior to the awards there were silent auctions occuring in order to raise funding for PAL. The recipients of the PAL Awards were Jeffrey B. Hendrey of Price Waterhouse Cooper, Josh and Marjorie Harris of the Philadelphia 76ers, and former Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey.
