The inaugural recipients of the Ambassador Manuel Torres Award

Awardees represented showed the true meaning of Hispanic Heritage with their contributions in health, education and public service, among various other fields.

AL DÍA News celebrated National Hispanic Heritage Month with its annual Archetypes Awards Gala at the Union League in Center City Philadelphia on September 24. Over 200 people were in attendance to witness 10 representatives being honored for contributions in their respected fields of education, philanthropy, entrepreneurship and several other categories.

The 2021 AL DÍA Archetype: Ambassador Manuel Torres Award is named after Colombia’s first ambassador to the United States.

Michael A. Innocenzo, CEO/President of PECO, The Honorable Nelson A. Diaz, CouncilMember-at-Large Derek S. Green, Esq. were spotted at the festivities and reception. David Chambers, Chief Advancement Officer of the Philadelphia Ballet, Divisional Director of Partnerships for the Salvation Army Dr. Bonnie Camarda and Dann Cuellar of 6ABC were also in attendance.
