DNC and Google host their first small business workshop
More to come, with dates to be announced later by the committee.
In an effort to help local business promote themselves during the Democratic National Convention (DNC) and beyond, the DNC committee has partnered with Google to organize workshops in Philadelphia for small business owners.
Yesterday marked the first workshop and the DNC committee said over 100 businesses came out to the event. The focus of the workshops is to increase online presence. Instructors from Google presented information to business owners on how to improve their online tools and how to make sure that potential clients can find their business on Google searches or maps.
“We are very happy to kick off this workshop series with so many interested businesses from the Greater Philadelphia area,” said DNC committee CEO Rev. Leah Daughtry in a statement. “The convention will bring 50,000 people from 57 states and territories to Philadelphia. They are going to be searching for places to eat, drink, shop and explore. Getting online with Google is a great opportunity for local companies and will help them grow even after the Convention is over.”
More workshops are to come said the DNC committee, with dates to be announced.
