The Argentine actress Lali Espósito confirmed the rumors linking Rauw Alejandro to Sky Rojo in a recent appearance on Spanish television. She also leaked information on Instagram, when she posted a photo of the Puerto Rican singer while filming the show.

Cuban actress Yany Prado, Verónica Sánchez, Asier Etxeandia, and Miguel Ángel Silvestre are also part of the cast of the third season of the series, which is expected to premiere in 2022. The third season will also be the acting debut for the Puerto Rican reggaeton singer. 

It is not, however, the first time Alejandro has appeared in a television program. He is already known for his appearance in an episode of the second season of the famous Colombian series, La Reina del Flow.

The reggaeton singer  started his musical career in 2014. In 2020, he released his first album, and later the song "Todo de ti," which became a top hit worldwide. 

The final season

The shooting of the third season of Sky Rojo began in January and changed  locations, moving from the Canary Islands to the coast of Murcia, in the southeast in the Iberian Peninsula. 

Since its premiere in March 2021, the TV series has been released in 190 countries around the world. The eight upcoming episodes are part of the last season of the series produced by the creators Esther Martínez Lobato and Álex Pina, from Vancouver Media, the producer also behind the well-known Spanish series, Money Heist. 

Sky Rojo tells the story of three women (Coral, Wendy and Gina) victims of sexual exploitation, who embark on a race to escape from their past and their pimps. The drama, with scenes of comedy and action film, opened a necessary debate on prostitution and machismo.

Although Vancouver Media confirmed on social media that Alejandro was joining the cast, his role in the TV series remains a mystery. 

“Sky 3 filming reaches its halfway point. And it comes brutal and wild. Rauw Alejandro already fully involved in his character and surprisingly, ready to party,” the producer wrote on Twitter, echoing a statement by Pina.

In addition to his debut as an actor, Alejandro is preparing to be one of the judges of the coming Netflix reality show: The Signing. Music celebrities such as Yandel and Nicki Nicole are also part of the jury. 

This show is the first casting opened by Netflix in Spanish language and seeks to attract young talents from Spain, Latin America and the United States.
