The first trailer for the movie Cinderella, a musical fantasy film from Amazon Prime starring the young Cuban actress and singer, Camila Cabello, was released on Tuesday, Aug. 3. Her casting in the film means it is her Hollywood debut.

The film will arrive on Amazon Prime and promises to be a modern version of the classic fairy tale.

In the new adaptation of the classic fairy tale, Billy Porter will join as Cinderella's fairy godmother. The rest of the cast includes Nicholas Galitzine, Idina Menzel, James Corden, Minnie Driver, Missy Elliot and Pierce Brosnan. The remake of the film has modern touches, especially in the costumes and because it is a musical.

True to the story as always, Cinderella will try to manage to get ahead and attend the royal ball.

Regarding her staring role in Cinderella, Cabello expressed what this role represents to her.

"Everything I do reflects my pride in being a Latina woman and it couldn't be any other way. It's in my DNA and in my environment," she said.

This new version of Cinderella has Kay Cannon as director, who debuted in 2018 with Blockers, and has already worked with Amazon as a screenwriter.

James Corden, who stars in the film; Leo Pearlman; Jonathan Kadin and Shannon McIntosh joined Cannon on the production. The film, which will mark the beginning of Cabello's acting career, will arrive on Amazon on Sept. 3.
