After her appearance in The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017), Hayek's character now has much more prominence in the sequel. Hayek brings to life the wife of Darius Kincaid, played by Samuel L. Jackson, the hitman that bodyguard Michael Bryce, played by Ryan Reynolds, was supposed to protect in the first film.

Ten days before the premiere, the Mexican actress and producer launched through her instagram the #hitmanschallenge as a way to promote the film. In the video, along with her team, they danced to Britney Spears' 90s classic, "Baby one more time."

In fifth place was Cruella, the film about the life of the flamboyant Disney villain starring Emma Stone. It can also be seen on Disney+ for an extra charge, the film continues to bring audiences to theaters a month after its release.
