"In the final season, enemies become allies and Álex gets the answer to the question that has tortured him for years: What really happened to Sara?", says the synopsis of the third season of this Mexican thriller.

The well-known fictional series tells the story of Álex, who was sentenced to prison for the death of his sister, Sara, in a parasailing accident. After serving a sentence of 18 years in jail, Álex will seek to find the real guilty of the murder, and will also try to take revenge on the Lazcano family who had accused him of Sara's murder to protect his reputation; and on the other, finally finding the real culprit.

The fictional production stars Mexican actress Carolina Miranda, Colombian actor Manolo Cardona and Spanish Ginés García Millán. The cast also includes Claudia Ramírez, Alejandro Nones, Eugenio Siller, Carolina Miranda, Ximena Lamadrid and Fátima Molina, among others.

The renowned French actor Jean Reno and the Mexican Rebecca Jones also play roles in these new episodes.

I hope you enjoy it a lot and that the great revelation is up to the task! ”, the creator and executive producer of the television series, the Chilean writer José Ignacio“ Chascas ”Valenzuela posted on his Twitter account. 

The final season of Who Killed Sara? airs eight episodes, which are available on the streaming platform from May 18.

ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR TV SERIES IN THE US

The first season of the series was released in March 2021 and was viewed by more than 55 million people. These figures allowed Who Killed Sara?  managed to position itself in the top 10 of the most viewed in 87 countries including France, Germany, Israel, Brazil and the United States. In fact, in the United States it was the most popular foreign language (Spanish) production on the entire platform.

The second season premiered in May, and was also critically acclaimed and popular among the fans who were already looking forward to the final season.

Who Killed Sara?'s script was written by Chascas Valenzuela himself alongside Rosario Valenzuela and Jean Pierre Fica.

The production has been nominated for four Imagen Awards, including Best Drama Series and Best Actor in a Drama Series (Manolo Cardona).
