After winning his Oscar for Best Animated Film for Pinocchio, Mexican director Guillermo del Toro revealed that his next project will be an adaptation of the classic novel, Frankenstein, to which he will give his own twist, announced GQ magazine

Previously, the director said in an interview on Fresh Air with Terry Gross that he has been working on the script of the project that he wants to direct, because Frankenstein's monster causes him "uneasiness."

So far, details of the film's twist are unknown because it is still in its initial stages of production, but The Hollywood Reporter wrote that del Toro has already identified his protagonists and is in negotiations with them.

Among the actors who could be part of the cast of the new version of Frankenstein is Andrew Garfield, who is known for the popular films The Amazing Spider-Man, Tick, Tick... Boom! and The Social Network

Other artists who are reportedly in negotiations are Oscar Isaac, who was in Marvel series Moon Knight and Mia Goth, known for films like Nymphomaniac and Emma

Variety also reported that although Netflix has not disclosed information about the project, sources said the company will once again work with the Mexican director.
