August 8th, 2023After winning his Oscar for Best Animated Film for Pinocchio, Mexican director Guillermo del Toro revealed that his next project will be an adaptation of the classic novel, Frankenstein, to which he will give his own twist, announced GQ magazine.
Previously, the director said in an interview on Fresh Air with Terry Gross that he has been working on the script of the project that he wants to direct, because Frankenstein's monster causes him "uneasiness."
So far, details of the film's twist are unknown because it is still in its initial stages of production, but The Hollywood Reporter wrote that del Toro has already identified his protagonists and is in negotiations with them.
