Angel Flores, the bodybuilder on the sixth season of 'Queer Eye'
Bodybuilder Angel Flores is one of the heroines of the sixth season of Queer Eye and her episode is getting people talking.
Young athlete Angel Flores joined the sixth season of Queer Eye to work on her aesthetics and mentality outside of her comfort zone of the gym. It is one of the episodes that has generated the most talk and reaction from the reality show's audience.
On Dec. 31, the sixth season of the reality show premiered on Netflix. It was already expected to bring many surprises and emotions. This season following the "Fab Five" once again help people feel rooted in who they are and bring them closer to what they aspire to be.
The second episode titled "Angel Gets Her Wings" features Angel Flores as its main character. A 22-year-old Olympic weightlifting coach and trans powerlifter, and trans woman of Filipino and Mexican descent. Despite her powerful passions, Flores often suffered from fear of rejection in public spaces.

Flores confessed to feeling uncomfortable shopping for anything other than food. She suffered from anxiety attacks when trying to buy clothes and feeling judged for her athletic body.
The first people to work with her were Jonathan Van Ness and Tan France, who took it upon themselves to find and show her that her physical appearence is actually her strength, and she shouldn't feel afraid for being who she is.
They worked on Angel's insecurity and struggle of comparing her body to other women, but also worked on reconnecting with her father, who was not accepting of his daughter's gender identity and expression.
Angel's story has moved the show's followers, who have rushed to boost the athlete's following, and showed her the admiration that many people have for her.
