'Philly Loves Bowie' is the name of the cultural and culinary week organized in Philly to honor the musical genius of David Bowie.
From Jan. 6 to 14, Philadelphia can choose from a number of diverse activities to remember the art and music of David Robert Jones, better known professionally as David Bowie.
Concerts for the whole family, dance parties, karaoke nights, art exhibitions, ice creams, sandwiches and special beers to honor the British pop culture icon are part of the special programming.
One of the activities is at The National Liberty Museum, which is hosting its 3rd Annual Bowie Bash and Pop-Up Art Sale until Jan. 23.
During the week, Bowie fans will also be able to enjoy film screenings and special radio programs. Many of these activities are free and others are paid, although they are for charitable purposes.
