Mayor Nutter announced the performers for the Wawa Welcome America Philly 4th of July Jam on the morning of May 5th during a press conference in The Shops at Liberty Place.

Music artists Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Jennifer Hudson, Aloe Blacc and The Voice finalist Vicci Martinez will join Philly-based The Roots during the concert before the traditional fireworks display that ends the Wawa Welcome America festival.

Mayor Nutter also mentioned that he is trying to get Jimmy Fallon to host The Tonight Show – which has The Roots as the house band – in Philadelphia for the week leading up to the big celebration.

The festival itself takes places from June 28th to July 4th with various family fun-filled activities including Wawa Hoagie Day on July 2nd, free museum admission, and much more.
