The Cuban duo Gente de Zona, known worldwide for their unforgettable hit “La Gozadera” with Mark Anthony, return full of energy after a period of introspection. Their record label, Sony Music Latin, announced the upcoming release of the new album, De menor a mayor. It will be available on April 8.

“Finally the wait is over!” the band wrote on their Instagram profile, generating a barrage of flame and clapping emojis from their fans. The duo made up of Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom told their fans to prepare to join them for a big party before the imminent release of their long-awaited album that includes special guests like Don Omar and Wisin & Yandel.

On his personal profile, Randy announced that they will soon begin a European tour after two years of a pandemic delay.

“Stay tuned to my stories to buy your tickets!” he wrote to his European followers.

The duo, some of the biggest international ambassadors of reggaeton, will start their De menor a mayor tour in Madrid on June 24.

The European concerts will last between June, July and August. The tour will include stops in June in Zurich (on June 25), and Milan (on June 30); and in July in Rome (July 1), Paris (July 7), Barcelona (July 15) or Malaga (July 16), among other cities. The final stop will be in Copenhagen on Aug. 13.

In February, Gente de Zona made headlines with the premiere of “Q’Lona,” a single that achieved almost 2 million views on YouTube in less than a month. It's a song that mixes tropical Caribbean rhythms with the urban sounds that are so common these days. The accompanying music video was directed by Guillermo Figueredo, who opted to include Alexander Jr., son of 'El monarca.' The story tells how Randy fell in love with a woman from his neighborhood.

Shortly after, they also performed “Qué loco” at the Premios Lo Nuestro 2022 gala, featuring Ovi. Finally, the release of the song “Tulum” came on March 4, a collaboration that includes Nia and JC El Diamante. It features a Summer music video with lots of sun, beaches, cocktails and fun.

Gente de Zona has, among other awards, received a Youth Award for My Favorite Letter for “Bailando,” one of their well-known international hits with Enrique Iglesias and Descemer Bueno, released in 2015.

In addition, they were recognized in 2016 with a Tu Mundo award for Best Party Start Song for "Algo contigo," a Youth Award in the same year in The Perfect Combination category with Marc Anthony, a Latin AMA'S award for Best Tropical Album with Visualizate, and a Latin Grammy Award for Best Tropical Fusion Album for the same album.
