Edurne went back on stage in Madrid five years after her last show
Edurne was nervous and anxious about her return, which was the first stop on the release tour for “Catarsis (deluxe)”
It could be considered as a second debut, a musical rebirth. After five years away from the stage, the Spanish singer Edurne finally felt the magic of live music again in an exciting concert in Madrid, her hometown. An unbeatable scenario to break the ice after a long break.
Edurne was nervous and anxious about her return, which was the first stop on the release tour for “Catarsis (deluxe)”, a reissue of the album with the same name released in 2020. After her performance at the Eslava Theater, the singer published on her Instagram profile: "I will never be able to forget last night. Feeling so close to you again and being able to present the songs of Catarsis. I could hardly sing the first songs due to the emotion. So many years, and you continue with me on this path".
In the reissue of the album, the Spanish singer included six unreleased songs: 'Como tú' (with Efecto Pasillo), 'Vaivenes', 'Yanay', 'Boomerang', 'Llegaste a mi vida' and 'El amor no existe', an emotional duet with Antonio José.
The crowd, which packed the hall, sang out loud the old hits and songs from the latest album. Among the audience was the singer's daughter, Yanai, who for the first time saw her mother live on stage. Among other pieces, attendees enjoyed classics such as "Amores dormidos", "Amanecer" or "Despierta".

The singer explained that she was impatient for being away from live concerts: “I didn't want to wait any longer because everything was already done and prepared, I couldn't take it anymore. For me it was risky, but whoever does not risk does not win. In the end, the reception of the people was wonderful”.
Her latest album, in which the Madrilenian consolidated her sweet voice and deep melodies, has several songs that stand out. In “Jaque al rey”, includes the collaboration of Belén Aguilera, and in “Llegaste a mi vida”, Edurne is honest about the impact experienced after becoming a mother.
About this topic, she confessed that she considered “that need to want to do the best and teach everything that you don't even know about yourself. I talked about those insecurities and the desire to teach what you don't even know”.
Edurne, who became popular after her appearance on the television program "Operación Triunfo", has already released seven studio albums, and has also been an actress in series such as "Servir" or "Ana y los Siete", among others. She also starred in the musical "Grease" on a tour throughout the Spanish territory.
