Zagat just released their annual list of Philadelphia’s best restaurants, but where are the Latino flavors?

Around 5000 diners voted on more than 650 area restaurants in the Philadelphia Restaurant Survey. Only four of the 50 selected were Latino restaurants.

Two of Jose Garces’ Spanish restaurants, Amada and Tinto, landed the number 7 and number 23 spots on the list. Brazilian steakhouses also seem to be popular among Philadelphia diners with Fogo De Chão ranking at number 12 and Chima Brazilian Steakhouse at number 36.

There is no doubt that those restaurants have amazing food, but what about all of the delicious places that were left off of the list like Los Taquitos de Puebla in the Italian Market, Alma de Cuba in Center City, Loco Pez in Fishtown and Tierra Colombiana in North Philly?

Zagat has a separate list for the best Mexican restaurants in Philly, but it lacks the diversity of other Latino cultures and cuisine.

Philadelphia's food scene has so much to explore, but don't miss out on experiencing Latino cuisine that didn't make the list.
