The photographs that earned him the nomination were taken for a fashion client in Ecuador. The first photo was taken in a small town near Medellín. The second photo was in Las Vegas.
"In advertising work you encounter all kinds of challenges, from photographs with animals, cars, motorcycles, extreme nature, extreme weather, celebrities, some just want a picture because they are always in a hurry, intractable children, among many other things," the photographer said.
Currently, Augusto works as an advertising photographer, but previously had worked as a publicist in DDB Colombia and McCann. In the latter agency, with the help of its president Alvaro José Fuentes, he began his adventure in photography.
He also worked as a teacher for more than five years helping students discover their creativity. He was in several universities in Medellin, such as UPB, Colegiatura and the Institute of Arts.
