Wisin y Yandel buy baseball team in Puerto Rico
They are now co-owners of Los Criollos de Caguas, the top champions of the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League.
They seek to "join efforts to contribute both in the competitive area of the sport, as well as in social responsibility,'' they said in a statement.
Wisin y Yandel are now part of the team of the top champions of the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League of Puerto Rico.
As reported by EFE news agency, Wisin y Yandel's team had been in talks since the end of 2019 with the Criollos' management, managing to reach an agreement before the start of this new season, despite the delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The details of the agreement were stipulated under a confidentiality agreement, so details are unknown.
With this announcement, the duo joins the artists who are betting on sports and music to provide youth with better opportunities in their territories.
Ozuna and his basketball team
On Monday, October 17th, Ozuna also announced the approval of the purchase and sale of the basketball team of the Brujos de Guayama, so the singer said he was going to move the team to the municipality of Manatí, on the north coast of the island.
"Being a proxy of a franchise of the National Superior Basketball of Puerto Rico has been one of my great dreams, for which we have been working for some time. I feel very passionate about this sport and being part of this family fills me with great pride. Thanks to the BSN for opening the doors for me and to all those who have made this possible," said Ozuna officially.
The BSN also announced that the Brujos de Guayama franchise will now be renamed the Osos de Manatí.
