For years, men have made many contributions to the world of sports.  From Babe Ruth for Baseball, to Tom Brady for football, and Muhammad Ali for Boxing, these athletes are known on a first name basis for their magnificent careers. History tends to omit or forget that there were also many women who achieve greatness in these same sports as well as many other sports that might not be as popular in the United States as it is in other parts of the world.

We at AL DIA News take a look at Latinas who have etched their names in sports history. We go into the world of Tennis, Judo, Golf and many other sports to spread the knowledge that these women should be looked to as equals not only by their male counterparts but also by society as a whole.
