A new chapter of the National Football League is under way and the season opener could not be better: Cowboys vs. Buccaneers, recent Super Bowl champ Tom Brady, against a healthy Dak Prescott.

This will be Brady’s fifth season opener in a new season, with this one ending at Super Bowl LVI.

Since the rights of Thursday Night Football belongs to FOX, and the sports event will be broadcasted by NBC, the matchup will be the only Thursday night game all season presented as a Sunday Night Football production.

Both offenses are two of the best ranked in the NFC, but its championship ring and one of the league’s best defenses, give the Buccaneers some advantage.

This is all you need to know about the NFL’s season opener from Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium:

- Date: Thursday, September 9, 2021.

- Time: Kickoff at 8:20 ET.

- TV channel: NBC

- Live stream: NBC Sports App and NBCSports.com
