
Messi's photo with the World Cup gets the most 'likes' in the history of Instagram
The legend's post has more than 63 million likes.

March 20th, 2023After Argentina won the World Cup, Lionel Messi shared his happiness with his more than 400 million followers on Instagram, uploading photos and videos from the big moment.
"So many times I dreamed it, I wanted it so much that I still can't fall, I can't believe it..." he wrote on a post with an image in which he is seen lifting the trophy after the victory against France.
With the new record, the Argentine dethrones the photo of an egg posted on the account @world_record_egg, which had the most 'likes' to date, with 56 million.
Messi's achievement came after playing in the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where the Argentina beat France on penalties after 120 minutes of play.
Other sports figures such as Papu Gomez, who plays on the national team, left him comments of congratulations and gratitude for leading them to the summit of World Football.

"Thank you for always, Captain," wrote the player.
"We are proud of you," wrote F.C. Barcelona, the club where Messi's legend began.
Similarly, artists like Bizarrap, Deco, Hannah Stocking, Micro TDH, among many others, congratulated Messi on the long-awaited achievement.
Other most liked photos
In addition to the egg photo, the record post with the most 'likes' on the social media was also held by Cristiano Ronaldo with his wife Georgina. The post on Oct. 28, 2021 announced that the pair were expecting twins. The image got more than 35 million likes in a short time.
And preceding Cristiano's, the most viewed photo was one of the wedding of Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez, published on May 15, 2021 with 26 million 'likes'.
