On the 114th anniversary of Frida Kahlo's birth, Frontón Mexico in Mexico City opened a new immersive and multi-sensory experience diving into Kahlo's life.

With animated projections on walls and floors, Kahlo's paintings return to the virtual world through a new and different experience to showcase her most emblematic paintings. The brave artist, revolutionary and fighter, broke the barriers of Mexican culture in her time.

For the family, it is important to show not only what is already known about Kahlo, but also the intimate Frida they knew.

Kahlo conquered Mexicans and the world with her work, and above all, her way of living life. She is a feminine and artistic emblem for the new generations and organizers hope the exhibition will be a new day for technological formats and their abilities to showcase her work.

The opening was held at the Frontón México, where 26 works by Kahlo come to life from more than 90 projectors and some 50 loudspeakers that accompany the images with music.

"It's very good [the experience] because there are many young people who don't know her work and it's a good way to spread it," said Laura, a visitor to the inauguration.

Among diverse textures and permeable walls, visitors will be able to discover the artist's works in the order of their choice. The exhibition also has an interactive room called "Free Stroke," where visitors can paint and digitally draw as they please.

While in the "Fantastic Creatures" game room, visitors can choose characters from Frida's work that best represent them. The total experience of the exhibition allows visitors to enter her world as an artist and as a person of flesh and blood. The tour can last between 45 and 90 minutes, which is still a short time to admire and begin to understand the artist.
