Keep your selfie sticks at home, Disney fans!

Disneyland and Walt Disney World have officially banned selfie sticks from entering the Happiest Places on Earth.

Under a new policy, selfie sticks will not be allowed in Disneyland, Disney World theme park, Disney World water parks, DisneyQuest, Disneyland Resort in California, as well as Disney's parks in Paris and Hong Kong (by July 1).

“We strive to provide a great experience for the entire family, and unfortunately selfie-sticks have become a growing safety concern for both our guests and cast,” Disney World spokeswoman Kim Prunty told the Orlando Sentinel.

Park guests will have the option of turning in their selfie sticks for pick-up later or returning the item to their cars or hotel rooms, when their bag is checked at the entrance.

Disney theme parks aren’t the only places to ban this item. Various music festivals and museums have a ban as well.
