Indie Film Festival hits Bogotá, Colombia
Independent cinema takes over the Colombian capital with the seventh edition of the Bogota International Independent Film Fair from June 14 to 25.
The Bogota International Independent Film Fair (FECI) is now in its seventh edition this year, with more than 80 productions in total, including short films, experimental video clips, documentaries and feature films.
FECI's program, according to the event's organizers, "seeks to support the independent audiovisual sector." On this occasion, the screenings, open to locals and tourists interested in cinema, will be held in five different venues in the capital city — the Cinemateca de Bogotá, Teatro Charlot, Acto Latino, Open House Bogotá and Asilo Bar.
The festival will include five categories: documentary, fiction, animation, experimental-videoclip and experimental animation.

In addition, there will also be a seminar on the 40th anniversary of the death of the prolific German filmmaker Reiner Werner Fassbinder.
The fair begins on June 14 and will run until June 25. On June 15, at the Cinemateca Distrital, a selection of short films from Spain, Mexico, Portugal and China will be screened, and there will be a party at El Goce Pagano. Admissions will be free for both.
