China, Bolivia sign strategic partnership agreement
Bolivia and China agreed to establish a strategic partnership and signed several other agreements on Tuesday in Beijing, including the opening up of the Chinese market to Bolivian products like quinoa and coffee.
Apart from the strategic partnership pact, visiting Bolivian President Evo Morales and Chinese President Xi Jinping also signed six other agreements on financial, cultural, commercial and infrastructure cooperation, following a nearly two-hour meeting at the Great Hall of the People.

The two countries are still discussing deals to open up the Chinese market to other Bolivian products such as soya, meat and chestnut.
On Tuesday, China and Bolivia also signed financial pacts, including credit from Export-Import Bank of China to Bolivia for building an integrated command and control system for subregional security, as well as another agreement for cooperation from China Development Bank for the construction of the Bombeo-Tunari highway.
The two countries also signed a memorandum of cooperation under the framework of the New Silk Route, China's ambitious project of international financing of transport and telecommunications infrastructure.
