Amazon is launching a home services marketplace that will allow customers to buy services like home cleaning, car maintenance, painting, plumbing, etc.

Amazon Home Services will let customers pay for the service upfront, have the service quality backed with the Amazon guarantee and will be tied to products sold on the website.

Amazon states that about 85 million of its shoppers buy products that need these home services, according to Reuters. This new marketplace will make it easier for Amazon to be a middleman between their products and those who provide home services.

The popular online retailer states that the home service professionals will be handpicked, have background checks run on them, and that Amazon will match prices if customers are offered lower prices for the same service by a different business, within 30 days of a purchase, according to Reuters.
