Feligreses de La Milagrosa, la primera iglesia latina de la ciudad, en conjunto con miembros de las iglesias de St. Joachim en Frankford, St. Laurentius en Fishtown, y St. Peter Claver en el Sur de Filadelfia, realizarán una "Caminata por la justicia" este domingo 20 de septiembre para detener lo que consideran “la venta indiscriminada de iglesias en Filadelfia”.

Parishioners from La Milagrosa, the first Latino church in the city, in conjunction with members from St. Joachim in Frankford, St. Laurentius in Fishtown, and St. Peter Claver in South Philly, will hold a "Walk For Justice" on Sunday Sept. 20 to stop what they consider “the indiscriminate sale of churches in Philadelphia.”

The elephant in the room is immigration, and each country in Europe is up against a different part of the problem, while intentionally, obtusely, pretending to not see how the parts fit together. The United States too faces hard choices over the reception and treatment of immigrants. And Pope Francis has emerged as a central figure in this world debate.

City officials release latest details on traffic and security for papal visit

The “Traffic Box” established by the City will stretch from Center City to 38th Street in West Philadelphia. Depending on crowd size as it develops during the World Meeting of Families, it is slated to begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 25 with other parts west of the Schuylkill River at 10 p.m.

Mayor Michael Nutter said the city is establishing a “traffic box” from Center City to 38th Street in West Philadelphia, stretching from South Street north to Spring Garden and, near the Schuylkill River, to Girard Avenue.

La organización Host for Hospital ha decidido lanzar un llamamiento a los hogares de la ciudad para que decidan abrir sus puertas a los acompañantes y a aquellas personas que se encuentran de visita por motivos médicos, durante la semana del 20 de septiembre.
