Un nuevo estudio local evidenció que los padres adolescentes que residen en Filadelfia enfrentan barreras al tratar de accesar servicios médicos para sus hijos.
El último informe enfocado en esta problemática publicado por la organización ‘Public Citizens for Children and Youth’ (PCCY), y se titula “How Does Access to Childcare Affect High School Completion in Philadelphia’s Multiple Pathways to Graduation Programs?”.

No diploma and no jobs for 15,000 teen parents

A new local report found that teen parents trying to earn their diploma face long wait times and major barriers to access child care.
Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY) released the study “How Does Access to Childcare Affect High School Completion in Philadelphia’s Multiple Pathways to Graduation Programs?”
“Of all students, teen parents face the greatest need to earn a diploma and get a job, but they are getting shortchanged by the state,” said Donna Cooper, Executive Director of PCCY.

Junta presidencial favorece a SEPTA

La junta de emergencia creada por el presidente de EE.UU., Barack Obama, para mediar la disputa entre ingenieros ferroviarios y SEPTA se reunió este lunes para movilizar las negociaciones.

Las dos principales problemáticas que causaron la huelga de 24 horas de más de 400 ingenieros y electricistas el pasado 14 de junio, fueron discutidas durante la reunión y, por el momento, favorecen a SEPTA.

Presidential board sides with SEPTA

The presidential emergency board appointed by President Obama to arbitrate a labor dispute between engineers and SEPTA held their first meeting on Jul. 14.

The two issues that prompted a one-day strike by more than 400 engineers and electrical workers on Jun. 14, were brought to the table and for now, favor the management.
