If the cliché rings true and the eyes really are the window to the soul, then "Eye's Gallery" on 402 South Street has been the enchanting window to Latin American, Moroccan, and Indian folklore since 1968. The love child of Julia and her husband, the renowned "Magic Gardens" creator Isaiah, the gallery's origins are wondrous like its contents.

The story of education in lower income neighborhoods is an all too familiar one. The struggle to obtain a stable education is a story of overcoming conditions that are less than favorable, much like the swamp plant. What is causing these students, especially Latinos, to fall behind? How can they grow from these meager and impoverished conditions?

Like many Italian Millennials, Francesca decided to move to Copenhagen (Denmark) were she can attend university for free and find a job and salary according to her studies. “I wish I could come back, but it’s so hard there. Italy needs a change and that is why I am gonna vote for YES on the Referendum, despite I am not very convinced”, said Francesca in an interview with Spanish newspaper El País.

En la edición del 2016 de la Conferencia para Mujeres en Pensilvania, llevado a cabo en el Centro de Convenciones y producido por las estrategias Hill + Knowlton, cerca de nueve mil mujeres (y algunos hombres) de todas las edades y provenientes de todos los escenarios, se juntaron para promover conexiones laborales, alentar el crecimiento personal y aprender de personajes inspiradores de la ciudad, como es el caso de Anita Hill. Asimismo asistieron para reírse a carcajadas de las notas carismáticas de Abby Wambach y Mindy Kaling.

A women’s conference for empowerment, networking, and laughs: What they learned

At the 2016 Pennsylvania Conference for Women, hosted at The Pennsylvania Convention Center and produced by Hill + Knowlton strategies, about nine thousand women- and a few men -of all ages and backgrounds came together to foster career connections, personally grow, and learn from inspiring movers and shakers of the city, such as Anita Hill. They also came to laugh (a lot) at the charismatic keynotes from Abby Wambach and Mindy Kaling.
