This summer students of the #NeverAgain movement and organizers of the March For Our Lives will be touring several states to "get young people educated, registered, and motivated to vote" in what they have called "Road to Change".

According to their website, the tour will begin on Friday, June 15 in Chicago, where they will join the March of Peace, a mobilization of students organized by the St. Sabina Academy.

"When people across the country rallied at the March for Our Lives just over two months ago, we showed our politicians that we refuse to accept gun violence as an unresolvable issue," a statement from the movement explains. "Now it’s time to turn our energy into action".

The route includes more than 50 stops in 20 states, including Iowa, Texas, California, South Carolina and Connecticut, with a "separate" tour in Florida with 25 stops within that state alone.

"We’re going to places where the NRA has bought and paid for politicians who refuse to take simple steps to save our lives," the statement on its website continues. "And we’ll be visiting a number of communities that have been affected by gun violence to meet fellow survivors and use our voices to amplify theirs."

The students Cameron Kasky, Emma González and David Hogg are some of the representatives of the movement that will participate in the tour.

During a press conference on Monday, Kasky said that despite all their media and organizational efforts, the final goal of their organization is to encourage participation in the elections.

"We can march, we can bring our politicians into a new light and make sure they are being held accountable. But at the end of the day, real change is brought from voting," he said, according to TIME Magazine.

The movement now led by these young people emerged after the terrible tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on February 14, where 17 students were killed after a shooting at the hands of a former classmate.

Instead of being silenced by the status quo of American politics, these young people organized themselves with their teachers and their community, shaking the foundation of the country's arms tradition.

Now, their voice will reach every corner of the nation.
