Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro will visit the AL DÍA newsroom on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. for an AL DÍA Talk.
Shapiro was elected Attorney General in Nov. 2016, beating his Republican opponent with 51.3 percent of the vote.
In his two years in office to date he has taken strong actions opposing certain Trump administration policies, including the attempted crackdown on legal immigration through revisions to “public charge” rules, the infamous travel ban, and the administration’s “zero tolerance” family separation policy at the border.
Shapiro has opposed EPA policies enacted under the Trump administration, as well as the president’s pick to temporarily head the U.S. Department of Justice, Matthew Whitaker.
He also led the bombshell investigation into sexual abuse in the Catholic Church, and its cover-up, which resulted in allegations against more than 300 priests.
