Tue, 01/05/2021 - 3:48pm -- annag
This is an annual celebration of the Hispanic men and women who have served in the trenches of the worst pandemic of a century.
This acknowledgment of #OurNurses is an annual edition and media event hosted in May, the month of the year when the American Nurses Association takes the time to celebrate the profession and elevate the practitioners serving in our Health Care Institutions.

*Nominations are open to the public*

On Wednesday, May 26th at 5:30pm U.S. EST, AL DÍA welcomes you to celebrate the nurses that are enriching diversity in the top health organizations of the Philadelphia region and beyond.

According to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, 8.3% of nurses in America are currently of Latino descent and the demand for bilingual and bicultural nurses is today stronger than ever.

In order to promote the exemplary contributions Hispanic nurses are already making to this essential field, we intend to feature a life-time achievement award recipient, and select from a pool of nominees made by the public the men and women excelling in the profession.

Think of all of #OurNurses that deserve recognition for their extreme efforts since the global pandemic have struck and take a minute to nominate them by clicking on the button below.

A prestigious Advisory Board made by their peers, chaired by Dr. Antonia M. Villarruel, Dean of The University of Pennsylvania's School of Nursing, the #1 School of Nursing in the country, will make the final selection.
