Three current and former employees of Facebook who asked for anonymity have accused Zuckerberg ‘s company to have developed a new censure tool that would help the company to get back into the Chinese market, where the social network has been blocked.

Philantropies in the age of diversity

The world of philanthropy conjures images of well-heeled men and women donning tuxedos and furs at fancy galas. The stereotype is well-deserved - generations of wealthy patrons lavishly contributed money and prestige to a select group of foundations over the generations, creating a robust yet exclusionary system steeped in tradition and ego.

Small businesses are boasting around the nation, but Philadelphia is still far behind the big numbers, compared to other metro regions in the East Coast, like New York, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. With a population of less tan 3 million, Uruguay has become an important source of talented entrepeneurs in Silicon Valley.  This is the case of Juan Pablo Olivera, founder of Netlabs, a security software, or Gabriel López, founder of Kezmo, an alternative to Slack. “We always say Uruguay is one of the most stable places in LatAm, with excellent connections, high level of Enlgish and infrastructures”, says Isabella Antonaccio, who helps the Uruguay government to attract American investors to her country.

Our businessmen and the elusive American Dream

The fact that the Latino community moves forward in visibility and relevance in Philadelphia, where they represent the 15% of the population, depends less on the success of the candidates in the presidential race and more in the success of leaders that silently – and without much support – create companies, new jobs, assuring the stability and the prosperity of local Latino communities.
