Director Robert Rodriguez joined forces with John Malkovich to create the short film, “100 Years,” a project you’ll probably won’t get to watch.

According to pop culture website The Mary Sue, at the request of Louis XIII Cognac, which is aged 100 years, the filmmaker created the short film, starring Malkovich, to celebrate the opening of the 1915-dated bottles of their premium cognac.

Inspired on the production of a single decanter of LOUIS XIII Cognac, the project was completed last week but is scheduled to be screened with the next batch of Louis XII Cognac in 2115, Escapist Magazine reported.

Just like the producers of the cognac almost never get to experience their own product, the creators certainly are unlikely to see their own final product now that it is sealed at the vault.

"There were several options when the project was first presented of what (the future) would be," Malkovich told Escapist Magazine. "An incredibly high tech, beyond computerized version of the world; a post-Chernobyl, back to nature, semi-collapsed civilization; and then there was a retro future which was how the future was imagined in science fiction of the 1940s or 50s."
