Philadelphia's Department of Aviation has announced the promotion of Stacey Lennon to serve as the next Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), from her prior position as executive assistant for the airport's CEO and CAO.

“Stacey has more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources, 15 with the City of Philadelphia. She has been a valuable member of the airports’ team for seven years,” said Delicsha Wilds, the Department of Aviation’s CAO, in a statement.

“The airports’ administrative units have undergone a lot of change and transition over the last few years and Stacey has ensured critical assignments, initiatives and goals were met,” she continued.

Lennon’s experience includes working for seven years with the Philadelphia International Airport and the Philadelphia Northeast Airport. Prior to joining the Department of Aviation, Lennon worked for the City's Department of Licenses and Inspections from 2014 to 2016.

In her new role, Lennon will direct the Department of Aviation's HR, training and development, occupational safety, and employee injury programs.

Additionally, she will work in collaboration with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion office in the creation and implementation of programs and initiatives to ensure equal opportunities for all of the Department's members.

Lennon serves on the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) DEI working group in order to help establish a clear and practical approach to the aviation industry's DEI commitments.

Lennon earned her Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the Conference of Minority Transportation officials (COMTO).

This appointment comes in a series of new additions and promotions taking place in the Department of Aviation and its airports, including the recent hire of a new Deputy Director of Aviation, Business Diversity, and Accessibility, and the newly made position of Deputy Director of External Affairs.
