"I was 14 when my family was torn apart by deportation."

In a new PSA-style video from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC), actress Diane Guerrero joins a host of other celebrities who have condemned U.S. deportation policies in recent months.

Guerrero, best known for her role in "Jane the Virgin and "Orange is the New Black," shares a fragment of her own immigration story: coming home, at age 14, to find that undocumented members of her family had been detained by federal immigration authorities.

The video briefly highlights immigration-related legislation that has been proposed recently by lawmakers across the U.S., which Guerrero calls "reactionary polices" that would "pave the way for more intolerance, more deportation and more family separation."
