Amendment: Fighting for America is the name of the new Netflix documentary series that will feature its host Will Smith talking about equality and diverse characters in Hollywood. The initial season is set to run for six episodes.

Chilean actor Pedro Pascal, star of The Mandalorian, is one of the two Latino artists confirmed to participate in the series.

Its concept is based around the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which establishes equal rights for U.S. citizens.

"This amendment is a promise of equality for all," Smith said.

In the series, Smith reflects with his guests on the racism, sexism, homophobia and other forms of exclusion and discrimination that continue in the country, which in the last year were seen up close and personal.

"We hope this series illuminates the beauty of America's promise and shares a message of connection and shared humanity so that we can understand and celebrate our diverse experiences of American life and contribute to progress toward the true equality we were promised. All people in accordance with the Fourteenth Amendment," he added.

Besides Pascal, the series will feature renowned performers such as Gabriel Luna, Mahershala Ali, Diane Lane, Samuel L. Jackson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Yara Shahidi, Sterling K. Brown, and many more who will discuss, among other things, what it means to be American.

The series will premiere on Netflix on Feb. 17 to very high expectations.
