After the sad loss of Mexican singer Vicente Fernández in December of last year, information about his personal and artistic life began to circulate, and projects surrounding the singer's life began to spread.
Among the new projects about Chente's life is a bioseries based on the singer's private life, starring Mexican regional singer Pablo Montero and produced by Televisa alongside Univision.
According to journalist Gustavo Adolfo Infante, this bioseries deals with unflattering passages of Chente's private life, and even mentions an alleged relationship between Gerardo Fernández and organized crime. It's why Alejandro Fernández is angry with Pablo Montero, whom he considers family.
"Here is the story: as you know there are two versions of the life of El Charro de Huentitán: one is being made by Caracol for Netflix, they are producing it and Jaimito Camil is starring in it. And another one is being produced by Juan Osorio for Televisa, and Pablo Montero is starring in it", said the journalist on his program "De primera mano".
Apparently, Gerardo Fernández signed with Caracol and sold the rights to the company for millions, despite the fact that Televisa was partly responsible and the channel that accompanied the film and musical career of Vicente Fernández in Mexican television. The creation of the bioseries with the Colombian company has been taken as a disloyalty.
