May 17th, 2022It turns out Tom Hanks and I have something in common: a love affair with typewriters.
“I've ended up collecting them from every ridiculous source possible," he told NPR's Audie Cornish.
Now although is true that hardly any millennial has ever used or heard of these vintage typing devices, the big news is that now they may have a chance through the ‘Hanx Writer’.
It turns out Hank’s obsession has turned into an APP.
“For iPad users who are nostalgic for the clickety-clack of keystrokes and ding! of the carriage return, Hanx Writer will type and print documents just like an old manual typewriter,’ NPR reported.According to the actor, what he gets from this app is the sound and the speed. “What I truly miss is the physical trail that typing gives you,” Hanks said. Now the questions are, would you try it, and more importantly is it actually useful?
