May 23rd, 2022Of the typical festivities part of Mexican folklore during Christmas, Posadas suffered major limitations after the whole world was forced into confinement amid the pandemic.
Despite the threat of the Omicron variant, the traditional celebration is being carried out normally this year to the delight of all on social media
Posadas are a tradition that fulfills a social and economic function, since they have always been an extremely active time for merchants. This year, the shelter "Lupis Animalista" held a Posada for the more than 500 animals they care for.
The "perriposada" took place over the weekend for dogs dressed in Christmas costumes, and featured Christmas carols and piñatas filled with sausages for the shelter's animals.

The event captivated the followers of Lupis Animalista on social media, who celebrated the shelter's initiative and took the opportunity to call for donations, as the organization does not receive subsidies or economic support of any kind.
The videos of the "perriposada" have also helped to spread the word about the responsible adoption of some of the dogs and cats rescued by the shelter. Founded by Lupis Sapien, an animal activist, protector and rescuer, Lupis Animalista continues to bring a better life, and Christmas, to hundreds of animals.
