Got demons? No problem, Pastor Bob Larson can help get the devil out of you for just a small fee of $295.
According to the Huffington Post, an Evangelical pastor in Arizona is offering exorcisms over Skype, the video chat service. Bob Larson, pastor of Spiritual Freedom Church charges $295 for a 60 minute session. He claims to have performed more than 20,000 exorcisms in the past four decades. Larson is also the founder of the International School of Exorcisms.
Reverend Issac, director of International Catholic Association of Exorcists, an organization that trains and ordains new exorcists, has warned that internet exorcisms are a scam. "Things cannot be done that way, If a person is fully possessed, the demons inside will not let them sit in front of a computer to be exorcised. Instead, the possessed person would be cursing and throwing things around," he said according to KNXV.
Larson has built a lucrative business by offering his "services" online to people all over the world and uses gestures like crossing people's forehead and pointing at the camera when performing exorcisms. He claims its not for show and what you see is actually real. He told a reporter for Anderson Cooper 360, "There would be no need to theatrically stage this for any reason, why would anybody have that idea." U.S. residents can even deduct the donation to Larson's Mission Program from their taxes.
