Almost half of all Latinos are concerned about losing work, a recent poll reported.
According to NPR, Harvard School of Public Health and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, 45 percent of all Latinos surveyed reported concern about losing their job or having to search for work within the next year. In contrast, 32 percent of all workers in America reported that they were very concerned about losing their job.
Those who identified as Central American and Cuban reported worrying about employment at a higher rate. Immigrant Latinos were twice as likely to worry about losing employment than non-immigrant Latinos.
That's not all Latinos respondents were worrying about. The poll found that 52 percent of respondents were not confident that they could afford to pay for a major illness.
