Sorry Instagrammers! If you love your smartphone, keep it out of the cold.

Not only does cold weather affect your body; it affects your smartphone too. If exposed in the cold for too long, the cold weather can rapidly drain the lithium battery, increase the chances of cracking the screen, cause internal damage and worse, stop working altogether.

Apple states that their iPhones can't withstand temperatures lower than 32° Fahrenheit, while other smartphones had weather lower temperatures. The colder temperatures can cause a rapid battery decrease. Thankfully, the effect is temporary and the battery will go back to normal once brought into warmer temperatures.
