According to NBCLosAngeles, police in Maine are investigating a malfunctioning TD Bank ATM which gave out $37,000 in cash to a man who only requested $140.
The incident occurred on Thursday, April 3 around 5:30a.m.
South Portland police received a call from a women who informed them that a man was spending an unusual amount of time at the ATM she was waiting to use.
The police later found the 55-year-old man, stuffing cash in his shopping bag. Bank officials said they don't want to press charges but police are still investigating.
"This was an isolated occurrence that has been resolved and no customer accounts were impacted," Eric Springer, a TD Bank spokesman, said according to the LA Times.
