Maria Conchita Alonso, who starred in movies such as "The Running Man" and "Predator 2" resigned from a play because of threats and boycotts for her support of Tim Donnelly, Tea Party candidate and founder of Minuteman Project, a group of citizen-vigilantes who attempt to control the flow of undocumented immigrants on the Mexico-United States border.

According to the L.A. Times, Alonso had been set to appear in a Spanish-language production of the Vagina Monologues in San Francisco in February. Last week, she appeared in an online campaign video for Donnelly which prompted backlash from the Latino community, after which she decided to resign from the play.
