As part of the 100-day countdown to the Democratic National Convention, the Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee for the event presented a new social media campaign to “energize” the city for  the convention.

The campaign, called “What Makes Philly Philly” will seek to highlight what makes the City of Brotherly love so unique. Over the next few months, the committee is hoping that Philadelphians will partake in the campaign by posting what they love most about their city on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook using the hashtag, #WhatMakesPhilly.

The host committee will pick their top 10 favorite posts and they will be turned into a letter to DNC to delegates. The delegates will receive the letter in their official welcome bag upon their arrival in Philadelphia.

The winners of the campaign will also win tickets to one of the host committee’s parties during the week of the convention.

Former Pennsylvania Governor and Host Committee Chair Governor Ed Rendell presented the campaign during a press conference held by the Democratic National Convention Committee commemorating the 100 days mark.

“This social campaign is a great way to excite residents and convention-goers about the DNC coming to Philadelphia,” said Rendell. “This city has so much to offer, and what better way for the delegates to learn about why residents love it here than from Philadelphians themselves. What makes Philly Philly to me is the spirit of its people: we get knocked down but always pick ourselves up and get right back into the fray.”
