This is the inspiring story of an undocumented immigrant who works for Trump
Ricardo Aca is from Puebla, Mexico, and he feels “as much part of this country (the United States) as anybody else, but I’m also proud to be Mexican.” He crossed the border with his family when he was 14 and he has been living in New York City for the last 9 or 10 years.
He went to college (he has an associate’s degree in commercial photography) but currently he is working at the restaurant of Trump Soho Building. This is one of his jobs.
Aca, who is an undocumented immigrant, has decided to tell his story in a powerful documentary made by New Left Media. Because as he tells in the video, “Trump keeps pointing out all these immigrants that have done all these terrible things but those aren’t the immigrants that I know. That’s not what we are like.”
Aca, who describes New York City as his home also points out: “I don’t think the rest of America feels the same way that he does. I hope that they don’t.”
“I know I could lose my job just for talking about Trump, but It doesn’t make me proud to go to work every day under his name,” he says about his participation in the project.
The video is not the only thing Aca is doing to prove the world how wrong Trump is. He also has a website (ricardoaca.com) with his photography work.
“It also gives me a voice. I can’t vote but I can take photos and share the stories of people like me,” Aca says.
